1940s Society
1940s Society The Society was established to encourage interest centred around the decade of the 1940s and holds local regular bi-monthly (January, March, May, July, September and November) meetings in Otford, Kent. The meetings are popular, informative, friendly, well-attended and include refreshments. Topics include all aspects of history relating to the 1940s including military, social, economic and political. Some, but by no means all, are related to local history. Meetings take place at Otford Village Memorial Hall, High Street, Otford TN14 5PQ and are usually held on the last Friday of the relevant month, commencing at 7.30pm. Admission is £5.
